Please use the below Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to help answer your questions about the Alaska SEED Roots Award and thread’s COVID-19 Quality Initiative 2.


How do I apply for the Alaska SEED ROOTS Award?

Apply for the Alaska SEED ROOTS Award here.  Applications must be completed, signed, and submitted to Alaska SEED by June 30, 2021

You will also need to upload IRS form W9. 

I applied for an Alaska SEED ROOTS Award. What is the timeline for processing my application?

Alaska SEED began reviewing applications in December 2020, on a first-come, first-serve basis. Alaska SEED received hundreds of applications from across the state and appreciates your patience as they are being processed. 

How will I know if my Alaska SEED Roots Award was approved?

If your application is approved, you will receive an email notification from Alaska SEED.

Important note: Your final approval will come from Alaska SEED and is not the “Signed Response” summary email you received after submitting your application.

If your application is missing information, Alaska SEED will contact you via email.

When can I expect to receive my Alaska SEED ROOTS Award?

Applications are being processed for payment in the order they are received and approved. Alaska SEED will be making payments on approved applications between January and June 2021. Your final approval email will notify you of the expected payment timeframe. 

I applied for or renewed my Alaska SEED Registry membership. When will I find out if my application has been processed?

You will receive an email notification that Alaska SEED has received your Alaska SEED Registry application. Alaska SEED Registry applications are being processed as usual, within 30 business days in the order they are received

COVID-19 Quality Initiative 2 Application FAQs

Thank you to the early childhood and afterschool/school-age education programs that applied for thread’s COVID-19 Quality Initiative 2. 

All approved applications have been notified and payments processed.
