thread’s Quality Improvement Program of the Year

thread launched this statewide award in 2017 to recognize an early childhood education program that has demonstrated a strong dedication to continuous quality improvement and has made exceptional progress in the past year through Learn & Grow, Alaska’s Quality Recognition and Improvement System (QRIS).

2026 Family Child Care Home Recipient:
Amber Bilingual Child Care

One child care center and one family child care home are nominated for this award by thread staff who are familiar with the program’s progress through Learn & Grow, Alaska’s Quality Improvement and Recognition System (QRIS) for early childhood education programs. Nominations are reviewed by a non-biased team of staff, which focuses on recognizing growth and effort.
