New Report: How CCR&Rs Help Communities

June 4, 2019

Child Care Aware of America recently released “Closing the Gap: How CCR&Rs Can Help Communities Meet Their Child Care Supply and Demand Needs,” a report which explores the role of Child Care Resource and Referral agencies (CCR&Rs) in closing child care supply and demand gaps in their states
and communities.

Check out the report here.

This report highlights several unique examples of organizations working to expand access to child care for all children and families.

After you check out the report, you can take action! We need people like you to shout from the rooftops why we need to increase investment in child care
to close gaps across the country and in our communities.

Take ten minutes today to:

  1. Share the report on social media using the hashtag #ClosingTheGap.
  2. Send the report to your elected officials. Find out who represents you in your city!
  3. Share your experience on how gaps
in child care supply and demand have impacted your family, business, and/or career. We want to hear from parents, providers, the business community—anyone who has felt the impact of child care supply and demand gaps.
  4. Tell Congress why the $5 billion funding increase for the Child Care and Development Block Grant (CCDBG) is so important to close the child care supply and demand
    gap.

Thank you for taking action and being an advocate for children and families.
