COVID-19 has prompted numerous challenges for young children, early childhood educators and programs, including maintaining a physical distance of at least six feet from others during play time.

Join thread for a discussion with Dianne Craft, Ph.D. who will share physical activity ideas that can be enjoyed by 2 to 5 year old children while still maintaining healthy physical distancing.

Update: Effective April 1, 2021, educators must be present and visible on video camera for the entire class time.


About the Speaker

Diane H. Craft, Ph.D., Professor Emerita, Physical Education Department, SUNY Cortland, has co-authored four books on developmentally appropriate, inclusive physical activity for young children including Active Play! Fun Physical Activities for Young Children. In addition, Dr. Craft has given over 285 presentations, workshops and keynotes – and now webinars – on early childhood physical activities to audiences across the nation. Since 2015 she has consulted with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the subject matter expert on Early Childhood Physical Activity.
