Alaska System for Early Education Development (SEED) launches at the University of Alaska Southeast with federal funds. Alaska SEED supports early educators’ professional development.

- Child Care Connection (thread) News is released – A space develops to inform clients about the current happenings of Child Care Connection (thread) and provide community updates and partner resources.
- Children’s Cabinet Report: The Children’s Cabinet keeps children at the forefront of Knowles-Ulmer Administration policy matters and helps engage Alaskans in ongoing discussions on how to improve child well-being. This is known to be one of the first statewide early childhood reports in Alaska.
- Child Care Connection (thread) receives the United Way Gold Award for outstanding service to the people of our community.
