Child Care Program Office Broadcast: Revised Child Care Grant Program Rate Schedule and CCG/CCAP Combined Billing Workbook

The following broadcast was released by the Alaska Department of Health Child Care Program Office on November 14, 2025.

The State of Alaska, Division of Public Assistance, Child Care Program Office (CCPO) is excited to announce an additional $5.9 million in annual funding to support licensed child care providers! A portion of these funds will be used to increase the base rate and reimbursement used in the Child Care Grant (CCG) Program. Please read this broadcast carefully for steps you may need to take as a child care provider.

About the CCG Program: 
The CCG Program promotes quality child care by helping licensed child care providers participating in the State of Alaska Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) with operational costs associated with their facilities. The CCG Program promotes quality child care by supporting and encouraging professional development, the retention of early childhood care and education professionals, and safe and healthy environments for children in care.  

Provider Participation: 
If you are already approved and participating in the CCG Program, no reapplication is required. You will need to begin using a revised billing workbook, as noted below.

If you are a licensed child care provider not yet participating in CCG, you must:Hold a current child care license issued by the State of Alaska CCPO or Municipality of Anchorage (MOA) Child Care Licensing Office;Be approved to participate in the CCAP; andComplete and submit a Child Care Grant application to the CCPO.

CCG Rate Increase: 
The CCG Program base rate has been increased from $30 to $45 statewide.  There are no changes to the CCG Program reimbursement formula. The increase to the base rate takes effect November 1, 2025 for child care services provided in November, which will be processed in December with your regular CCG submission.  The revised CCG Program Rate Schedule has been included with this broadcast for use with future CCG Reimbursement Requests.

Revised Billing Workbook: 
A new CCAP and CCG Combined Excel Billing Workbook takes effect November 1, 2025.  Please do not use older versions as they will no longer function.  Before using the revised workbook, you will need to ensure Excel macros are enabled, so the workbook can auto-populate and calculate correctly. This workbook may not be compatible with Apple computers/devices; and if so, please use the manual billing forms.  The revised CCAP and CCG Combined Excel Billing Workbook is available by contacting the CCPO’s Eligibility and Benefits Team at (907) 269-4500 or at dpaccp@alaska.gov.

System Reminder-AKCCIS:
On October 1, 2024, CCPO launched the Alaska Child Care Information System (AKCCIS) replacing the previous ICCIS database.  Please discontinue using your provider ICCIS ID number and start using your AKCCIS ID number beginning with the service month of November.  You can find your AKCCIS ID number in any notices you received by the CCPO, MOA Child Care Licensing office, or local Child Care Assistance Office; or by logging into your AKCCIS provider portal.  If you have not yet registered for an account in AKCCIS please do so.  The website is akccis.com/client/home.  If you need help finding your AKCCIS ID, contact:CCPO if you have a child care license issued by the State of Alaska;MOA Child Care Licensing office if you have a child care license issued by the MOA; orYour local Child Care Assistance office if you are participating in the CCAP.
