The following broadcast was released by the Alaska Department of Health Child Care Program Office on April 23, 2024.
The Child Care Program Office (CCPO) is happy to share that the Focus on Child Care: Building Resilience Post-Pandemic grant has been finalized. Awards can be expected to be received between now and June 30, 2024. Grant amounts will be based on licensed capacity.
In addition, the Focus on Child Care grant formula includes a differential based on cost of living in different communities in Alaska. With this multiplier, you can expect to receive between $654.08 to $746.06 per child based on your community’s location.

We would like to invite providers statewide to participate in a town hall meeting on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
Purpose of the meeting:
- Provide updates related to grant funding
- Be available to answer questions and hear your feedback
To encourage participation, we will be holding two separate meeting opportunities: one at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 30, and the other at 6 PM on April 30. The information shared from the CCPO at each meeting will be the same, so feel free to join the single session that works best with your schedule.
