April 3 is Go Blue Day

April 3, 2020

In recognition of National Child Abuse Prevention Month in April, thread is encouraging Alaskans to get involved in making a difference in a child’s life.

We believe it takes a community to raise a child, and you don’t have to be a parent to take steps to help keep children safe and healthy.

April 3: Virtual Go Blue Day

Virtual Go Blue Day is Friday, April 3 where everyone is encouraged to dress in blue to signify their support for National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Here are some ideas for you to support Virtual Go Blue Day in Alaska:

  • Wear blue on Friday, April 3, 2020!
  • Take a selfie and post it on Facebook or Twitter using #goblue4kids #wearblue4kids #pinwheelsforprevention #DaretobetheOne
  • Send an email to coworkers, friends and family, encouraging everyone to wear blue!
  • Encourage your colleagues to dress in blue and post a screen shot of all those blue squares and smiling faces.
  • Use this image in your social media posts/email

emotional well-being of Alaska’s children and families!
