Job Description

Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methods where applicable.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among preschool-aged children.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior management techniques to promote respectful interactions and emotional regulation.
- Plan and execute engaging lessons tailored to diverse learning needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention strategies.
- Support children’s developmental milestones by observing progress, documenting growth, and communicating with families about their child's achievements and needs.
- Incorporate age-appropriate activities that foster language development, literacy skills, motor skills, and cognitive growth through play-based learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management strategies, and implementing standardized testing or assessments when necessary.
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom management skills are highly valued.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or tutoring young children.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques tailored for preschool students.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
- Certification or training in early childhood education or Montessori methods is preferred; relevant coursework in literacy education and math is advantageous.
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that promotes child welfare, safety, and emotional well-being at all times.
