Lead / Assistant Teacher

Location: 709 W 9th St., Juneau

Create a safe, nurturing, positive, and engaging classroom environment
Build meaningful relationships with children and families
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Plan and participate in fun, developmentally appropriate activities
Support daily routines, transitions, meals, toileting, and potty training
Work closely with co-teachers to keep the classroom running smoothly
Communicate with families about children’s daily experiences and development
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom
Follow licensing requirements, health and safety practices, and center policies
Be a positive, dependable member of the Gold Creek team
For Lead Teacher positions, responsibilities will also include taking ownership of the classroom, planning curriculum, maintaining classroom records, and providing guidance and support to assistant teachers.

Early Childhood Education experience is preferred for Lead Teacher positions but is not required for all teaching positions.
