thread’s Child Care Assistance services are paused beginning July 1, 2026.
thread administers the State of Alaska Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) for the CCAP Northern and Southeast service delivery areas. The CCAP, also known in Alaska as Parents Achieving Self-Sufficiency (PASS), helps eligible families pay for child care.
thread’s current Child Care Assistance grant concluded at midnight on June 30, 2026. The State of Alaska is completing its FY27 CCAP grant service provider selection process. To align with the end of our current agreement with the State of Alaska, thread will pause direct Child Care Assistance services beginning July 1, 2026, until we receive final grant determination decisions and next steps from the State of Alaska.
