Job Description
Joy Child Development Center is currently hiring full-time Lead Teachers for our toddler and preschool classrooms. We are a nonprofit, play-based early childhood program focused on building strong relationships, creating inclusive learning environments, and supporting the whole child through developmentally appropriate practice.

Position Responsibilities:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Maintain consistent classroom routines and a positive learning environment
- Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Maintain active supervision and ensure classroom safety at all times
- Observe and document children’s development and progress
- Communicate professionally with families and team members
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and administration
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and licensing compliance within the classroom
- Attend required trainings, staff meetings, and professional development
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Experience working with young children
- CDA or willingness to obtain one
- Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
- Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Must pass required background check and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to meet the physical demands of working in an early childhood classroom
Schedule:
- Full-Time
- Monday–Friday
- Hours scheduled between 6:45am–6:00pm
