CCPO Broadcast: Child Care Assistance Program – Coastal Service Delivery Area Changes

On May 1, 2023, the Child Care Program Office (CCPO) sent out a broadcast notification about changes for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) Coastal Service Delivery Area.

This is a reminder for families and child care providers located in the CCAP Coastal Service Delivery Area that effective July 1, 2023, Alaska Family Services (AFS) – Central, located in Wasilla, will assume responsibility for the administration of the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP). Please discontinue using DPA Long Term Care contact information, including the virtual call center (VCC).

The CCAP Coastal Service Delivery Area includes the Kenai Peninsula, Kodiak, Aleutian Chain, Bristol Bay Area, Kotzebue, and Nome.  The map has been attached to this email.  The new contact information is as follows:

You may submit CCAP family and child care provider applications, additional forms, and documentation directly to AFS – Central using the contact information listed above. There is also a drop off option at the Women, Infants, & Children (WIC) office in Kenai located at:

601 Frontage Rd., suite 209 Kenai, AK 99611. WIC office hours are Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm. You may use WIC’s drop box outside of regular business hours. All information and documentation you submit to the WIC office will be forwarded to AFS – Central.

The program does not need anything from families or child care providers for this change to occur.  Please contact AFS – Central with any program or eligibility questions.
