Automatically Accepted Training &
Approved Training Organizations

The following trainings as well as the following national and state training organizations further below are automatically accepted as Alaska SEED-approved. This means that Alaska SEED Registry members who are issued transcripts, certificates for training hours, and/or continuing education credits (CEUs) from any of these approved training organizations will be eligible to advance on the Alaska SEED Career Ladder.

Automatically Accepted, Alaska SEED-Approved Training

This list does not supersede the existing Alaska SEED Training Approval System process for what is deemed as traditional child care training in Alaska (i.e., thread training and other offerings in-state).

Trainings that do not appear on this list must be approved through the Alaska SEED Training Approval System to receive an official letter and/or code to be valid for advancement on the Alaska SEED Career Ladder.

Accredited Universities or Colleges	Credit-bearing coursework taken from accredited colleges or universities that are early childhood, school-age, or Alaska SEED-related field coursework
Pediatric of Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Training	Training in pediatric or infant/child CPR and first aid from an agency/organization licensed or certified by the American Red Cross, American Heart Association or American Safety and Health Institute
National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC)	• Annual Conference • Professional Learning Institute • Policy Institute *All regional AEYC events offered in Alaska must be approved through the Alaska SEED Conference and Event Training Approval process.
Child Care Aware of America	• Annual Leadership Institute • Biennial Symposium
National Head Start Association (NHSA)	• National Head Start Annual Conference • Manager & Director Academy • Early Childhood Innovation Summit • Parent and Family Engagement Conference • Fall & Winter Leadership Institute • New Education Manager’s Orientation • Review of OMB Circulars and Head Start Issues
National Indian Head Start Director’s Association (NIHSDA)	• Annual Management Training Conference
National Child and Adult Care Food Program (National CACFP)	• Conferences • Online Training
Office of Head Start (OHS)	• Any Regional Conference held outside of Alaska* • Leadership Academy • Annual Head Start Conference • National Institute • Head Start Association Conference • Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Training held outside of Alaska* *All regional/in-State T/TA training events, institutes, conferences offered in Alaska must be approved through the Alaska SEED Conference and Event Training Approval process.
