Professional Development Reimbursement
Interested in taking a higher education course or training? You can apply for a Professional Development Reimbursement (PDR) to cover some of your training costs!
*Get up to $1,500 every fiscal year (July 1 to June 30) for higher education and/or training.
To be eligible for a PDR, you must:
- Be a member of the Alaska SEED Registry
- Operate or work in a licensed child care program
*You can receive up to $500 per fiscal year for approved training and conference registration. Training must be in early childhood/school-age education, health and safety, facility administration, or topics directly related to working with young children. Training is reimbursed at 75% of the actual training cost. CPR and First Aid training is capped at $75 per fiscal year, and obtaining a GED is capped at $150.
Receive an additional $1,000 for higher education costs, including fees and books, related to early childhood education. Higher education courses are reimbursed at 100% of tuition costs.
Submit your application, receipts, and proof of completion within 60 days of completing your higher education/training.
