Learn & Grow Training List
This list outlines all the required Learn & Grow Trainings and how to access/complete them. It also includes an appendix of supportive resources.
Contents:
- Level 1 & 2 Training: These trainings are specific, there are no alternative ways to complete these trainings other than what is listed in this document.
- Level 3 & 4 Training Topics: Each topic requires a minimum number of training hours. Educators may need to complete more than one training course to meet the minimum hours requirement. The trainings included in this document are approved to meet each topic areas. Educators may also submit trainings not listed on this document for consideration by completing this form: https://thread.tfaforms.net/110.
- Level 3-5 Specific Trainings: Starting at Level 3, there are specific training requirements for Ages & Stages (ASQ) and Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG). Additionally, staff must complete training specific to the curriculum used by the program.

Tracking Training:
- All thread trainings will automatically be entered into an individual’s Alaska SEED Registry profile in the ServicePortal.
- Individuals will need to upload all non-thread training certificates/transcripts to their Alaska SEED Registry profile in the ServicePortal.
Training Costs:
- All Level 1 & 2 trainings are FREE to Learn & Grow Programs.
- Level 3 & 4 trainings offered by thread are FREE to Learn & Grow Programs. External agency training costs will vary.

Any staff communicating ASQ results to families must complete the ASQ training first.
Teaching Strategies Gold (TSG) Training
Choose and complete one of the following options (available from TSG online account):
- Option 1: Introducing My Teaching Strategies (2 hours) and The Power of Gold (2 hours)
- Option 2: Inter-Rater Reliability
Level 4: Required for administrators and lead teachers
Level 5: Remaining teaching staff
Any staff entering child assessment info in TSG, must have Inter-Rater Reliability.
Training on Specific Curriculum(s) Used by the Program
- Training hours and cost may vary based on curriculum tool.
- The Training will count for Learn & Grow, but may or may not be approved for Alaska SEED Career Ladder advancement.
Level 4: Required for administrators and lead teachers

Once on this site, providers will need to create an account and then sign in.
The Learn & Grow training can be found by clicking on “Find Your Course Here” and then under the
“Public Assistance” section.
Providers will need to complete Lesson 1, the Final Quiz and the DPA CCPO Evaluation before they are
able to download/print their Certificate of Completion (pictured below).
Providers should then upload this final certificate to their Alaska SEED profile, located in the ServicePortal.
Appendix D: Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential Additional Trainings
