Cook Inlet Tribal Council (CITC) provides local Alaska Native and American Indian families with many services, including child care assistance programs with available grant funding for early childhood education programs.

The child care assistance arm of CITC’s services includes:
CITC’s CCA budget is reserved for quality of care and improvement activities for local early childhood education programs.
Eligibility requirements:
  • Program must be licensed and reside within the Municipality of Anchorage
  • Program must register to participate in CITC’s CCA program to qualify (application available on their website)
  • Program must keep CITC updated when there are changes to license to maintain their qualification to participate – this includes renewal
Examples of grant coverage include:
  • Repairs/renovations to improve the safety of environment or which are required by licensing
  • Purchasing learning materials to use with the children
  • Purchase of computer with purpose of doing online training
  • Reimburse training expenses
Grants are issued on a first-come, first-serve basis while funds are available.
