Write Governor Dunleavy and Ask Him to Support HB2001

August 01, 2019

The Alaska Legislature recently approved legislation that would reverse most of the $444 million vetoed by Gov. Mike Dunleavy in June from the state’s operating budget (House Bill 2001).

The Governor is now considering HB2001 and has until Aug. 30 to sign it, veto all or portions of it, or allow it to become law without his signature.
Please take this opportunity to write the Governor and tell him to support HB2001.
Include a sentence or two in your letter on the impact of these cuts to your family and/or early childhood education program, like Head Start or Best Beginnings. It is important that the Governor understands the role these programs play in our children's future.
Thank you for your advocacy!
