Thanks to generous donations from the Anchorage community and Title Wave Books, thread has 5,858 books to give away to children of all ages at thread’s 12th annual Book Party in the Park!
Thank you for making our annual children’s book drive a success! Please join us from 4 – 7 pm on Thursday, August 9 at the Mt. View Garden Art Park at 3350 Commercial Drive in Anchorage as we give out these books to local children.
This free family event also includes live music, crafts, games, door prizes, temporary tattoos, snacks, a cardboard box construction zone, and much more. Each year we also invite all of our elected officials, and this year U.S. Congressman Don Young, Anchorage Mayor Ethan Berkowitz, AK Representative Geran Tarr, and AK Senator Bill Wielechowski will be able to join us for a special Dr. Seuss story time.
