About the Award

The Cindy Harrington Heart & Mind Award is meant to honor an individual whose continued work in the early care & learning field has demonstrated a commitment to professional growth, despite hardships or challenges, and embodies an overall generosity of spirit in helping others. This early educator is someone who continues to defy barriers in an effort to pave a better and brighter future for the young children of Alaska.

The awardee will receive $1,000 and will be recognized at the Anchorage AEYC Conference on Feb. 7, 2020. They will also be featured on thread's website and in thread's newsletter, as well as in a press release to the media. Visit threadalaska.org/awards for more information.
