The Alaska Afterschool Network is looking for afterschool educators who are interested in delivering science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) programs. STEM-focused programs that operate outside of school are uniquely effective at reducing achievement gaps.
Alaska Afterschool Network is offering Afterschool Coaching for Reflective Educators in STEM (ACRES),
a free online training program where participants engage in two online training sessions (Asking Purposeful Questions & Modeling the Science
Process Afterschool) and four virtual coaching sessions. At the heart of ACRES is coaching, where participants learn a skill and receive peer and
expert coaching to help them reflect upon and strengthen their instructional practice.
2020 ACRES COHORT DATES (must attend all):
ACRES participants receive a $200 stipend upon completion of two follow-up surveys.
ACRES is a program of the Maine Mathematics and Science Alliance and is being offered to afterschool workers in Alaska through the Alaska Afterschool Network.
