{"id":5558,"date":"2021-09-30T16:51:00","date_gmt":"2021-10-01T00:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/alaska-seed-updates-on-policies-procedures"},"modified":"2021-09-30T16:51:00","modified_gmt":"2021-10-01T00:51:00","slug":"alaska-seed-updates-on-policies-procedures","status":"publish","type":"seed-blog","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/alaska-seed-updates-on-policies-procedures","title":{"rendered":"Alaska SEED Policies &amp; Procedures Reinstated October 1"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In May 2020, Alaska SEED updated its policies and procedures to support Alaska\u2019s early childhood educators during COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alaska SEED has been pleased to extend the deadline for reimbursement applications during this time.&nbsp; Based on feedback from the field, Alaska SEED will soon be returning to the pre-COVID policy.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Starting<\/strong> <strong>October 1, 2021<\/strong>, the following policy will be reinstated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>60-day policy on all Alaska SEED reimbursement applications<\/strong>. Starting October 1, please submit completed applications and proof of completion within 60 business days of completing the training and education to receive reimbursement. This applies to the following:<ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/financial-support\/professional-development-reimbursement\">Professional Development Reimbursement<\/a>&nbsp;(PDR) Application<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/financial-support\/travel-reimbursement\">Pre-Travel Reimbursement Application<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/financial-support\/child-development-associate\">CDA Application\/Renewal Award<\/a>&nbsp;(Please note: there is still the option of requesting that Alaska SEED pay the CDA application, or renewal fee, directly to the Council for Professional Recognition. <a href=\"mailto:info@alaskaseed.org\">Contact Alaska SEED<\/a> for more information.)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The following will still be available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Training and education reimbursements<\/strong>: Alaska SEED will continue to pay 100% of your training and education costs up to $1,500 through a PDR. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/financial-support\/professional-development-reimbursement\">Click here<\/a> for details.<\/li><li><strong>Help completing Alaska SEED reimbursement applications<\/strong>:&nbsp; The Alaska SEED team is here to help with your applications. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/about-seed\/contact-us\">Contact Alaska SEED<\/a> for assistance!<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>As a reminder, all <strong>thread<\/strong> trainings are free through the end of June 2022 and are available online statewide.
