{"id":5520,"date":"2021-04-14T17:22:12","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T01:22:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/learn-grow-announces-full-qris-framework"},"modified":"2021-04-14T17:22:12","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T01:22:12","slug":"learn-grow-announces-full-qris-framework","status":"publish","type":"seed-blog","link":"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/blog\/learn-grow-announces-full-qris-framework","title":{"rendered":"Learn &amp; Grow Announces Full QRIS Framework"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-8ce64ef1-ab68-41c7-b622-e71d2cc85b73\">Learn &amp; Grow, Alaska\u2019s&nbsp;Quality&nbsp;Recognition and&nbsp;Improvement System (QRIS),&nbsp;is excited to announce the completion of the system\u2019s full framework (Levels 1-5), giving early childhood education (ECE) programs a roadmap for developing high-quality learning environments. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-5931db1e-cd7c-45fb-bbfd-4057d8a40e9b\">Learn &amp; Grow contains five levels of quality standards beyond licensing. In 2016, Learn &amp; Grow launched Levels 1 and 2, engaging more than 130 programs in foundational quality activities. With Levels 3-5 of the framework now complete, programs can progress to offer high-quality services.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-2354e573-6440-437b-9bfa-557fcccc4cc1\">To provide additional support to Learn &amp; Grow programs, new tools and resources will be rolled out later this year, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-232338b5-651c-4688-8f32-8380561bf8c5\"><li><strong>thread<\/strong>&nbsp;Tools, an online library of templates and information for program management<\/li><li>Peer learning for Program Administrators<\/li><li>Increased financial &amp; marketing support<\/li><li>Technical assistance and coaching from&nbsp;<strong>thread<\/strong><\/li><li>New online portal for programs to access Learn &amp; Grow &nbsp;<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-ff1ecd57-25ac-4688-8831-122018d97f46\">The complete Level 1-5 framework can be found on the Learn &amp; Grow website here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-a743db61-e2d4-448a-9f8a-f306524fd8a9\" style=\"color:#55722d\">Benefits of QRIS<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-34b442f9-7bda-4bfd-b3af-9ac56f1628c7\">QRIS is a systemic approach to assess&nbsp;early childhood education&nbsp;programs and provide the necessary resources and planning to help programs build on their strengths to improve quality.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-3336d143-13ed-400a-a056-5775b7430218\">As a fully developed system, Learn &amp; Grow will give parents more options for their children\u2019s early education, and will help more children get ready for school and life.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"has-text-color wp-block-heading\" id=\"block-d2f58174-c96f-4d24-af34-e435f7504e47\" style=\"color:#55722d\">Learn More &#8211; Upcoming Informational Sessions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-7409ad6c-dfdc-4d38-ad39-df8765eb7616\">Learn &amp; Grow is hosting a series of FREE, informational sessions for ECE programs to learn more about the complete framework&nbsp;and roll-out of Levels 3-5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul id=\"block-13850fa2-83d8-4866-b373-78ef5c806006\" class=\"has-text-color wp-block-list\" style=\"color:#55722d\"><li><strong>Thursday, May 20<\/strong>\u00a0at 6:30 pm \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.net\/index.cfm\/calendar.ShowEvent?&amp;Classid=1789&amp;Event_ID=3079\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register here<\/a><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\" id=\"block-b03f434c-a163-4564-93fb-eee48dcaf177\"><strong><em>Note: These are informational sessions ONLY.
