The 2026 Alaska SEED Mini ROOTS Award is a monetary award intended to strengthen retention and reduce turnover for early childhood and school-age professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 Alaska SEED Mini ROOTS Award application opens on <strong>September 25, 2026 <\/strong>and closes on <strong>November 16, 2026<\/strong>, or while funding is available. The award amount for the 2026 Alaska SEED ROOTS Award will be $500.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-black-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible, applicants must be a current\/active member of the Alaska SEED Registry and be currently employed as a paid employee of a licensed or approved child care program, Head Start\/Early Head Start, Tribal Head Start\/Early Head Start, Parents as Teachers, or a paraprofessional working in a Pre-Elementary classroom in a school district. Alaska, Child Care Program Office (CCPO) or the Municipality of Anchorage, Child Care Licensing (CCL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Approved Child Care Provider:<\/strong> Any child care provider working at a Child Care Program that is approved by the State of Alaska, Child Care Program Office (CCPO) Child Care Assistance (CCA) Program as an Approved Relative Provider, or an Approved In-Home Provider.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-15 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Head Start\/Early Head Start (Including Tribal) Home Visitor, Teacher, or Assistant Teacher:<\/strong> Any home visitor, lead teacher, or assistant teacher currently working in a Head Start program serving children birth to
