It provides a framework to structure your training (such as aligning your training with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/seed\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2021\/04\/CKC-3rd-Edition-October-2020-WEB2.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Alaska&#8217;s Early Care and Education Core Knowledge and Competencies<\/a>) and encourages the use of best teaching practices to perform at the highest level. This system was designed to build your reputation as a quality trainer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested in becoming an Alaska SEED approved trainer? Follow these steps:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#5e94b6\">1. Determine Your Trainer Category<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>There are several trainer categories, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Basic Trainer<\/strong>: Works in the early childhood, school-age, or Alaska SEED early childhood related field<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provisional Trainer<\/strong>: Working to meet all Basic Trainer requirements within 3 years of application<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Trainer-Categories-Phase-I-Updated_11_5_2024.pdf\">Click here to see the full requirements for each category.<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-color\" style=\"color:#5e94b6\">2. Complete the Requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Next, you will need to understand and complete the following <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.threadalaska.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/Trainer-Categories-Phase-I-Updated_11_5_2024.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">requirements<\/a><\/strong> for your trainer category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Coursework in Principles of Adult Learning (PAL) is required for Provisional and Basic Trainers. Need help finding coursework in PAL? Complete PAL coursework for free through the Alaska Department of Health.
