This annual event, recognized nationwide, honors the importance of young children, their families, and their dedicated early educators. In 2025, we\u2019re celebrating the Week of the Young Child from April 5-11, with a daily theme that promotes fun, learning, and the growth of young minds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Why the Week of the Young Child Matters<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Established by NAEYC in 1971, WOYC focuses on raising awareness about the needs of young children and families and recognizing early childhood education programs that address those needs. The early years\u2014from birth to age 8\u2014are a crucial period that shape children\u2019s future learning and development.
