The following broadcast was released by the Alaska Department of Health Child Care Program Office on February 24, 2025.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Child Care Program Office (CCPO) is holding a meeting to discuss the adopted regulation changes in Licensing Regulation Title 7 AAC 57.\u00a0 During this meeting we will discuss the changes, Implementation Plan, and provide support and answers to questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These adopted regulations include changes to the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. License Exemptions for Tribal Facilities;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Education qualifications for a Center Administrator;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Removing the requirement for Centers to have a CCA (Child Care Associates) for every 30 children in care;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. New Requirements for Centers to assign an Adult onsite caregiver and\/or Administrator Designee (Associate Administrator) to ensure the facility has administrator coverage in the absence of the Administrator; and\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Orientation and Training Clarifications.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
