thread<\/strong>, in partnership with the State of Alaska Child Care Program Office (CCPO), is excited to call for proposals for two new competitive grant programs: IMPROVE Child Care Grant and Community INNOVATION Grant. The purpose of the grants is to increase and sustain the availability of affordable, high-quality child care across Alaska after the impact of COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the last three years, thread<\/strong> has been proud to be a partner and act as an intermediary for the State of Alaska in support of the COVID-19 federal relief Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act (CRRSA) and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) dollars. This has included targeted efforts to stabilize child care across the state as well as bolster the child care workforce and quality of child care. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Call for Proposals<\/h5>\n\n\n\n

The call for proposal period is from March 21 – April 14, 2023. Grant proposals will be evaluated and awarded based on the proposed project criteria\/impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IMPROVE Child Care Program Grant:<\/strong>
Grant Awards $3,000 – $50,000<\/em>
Purpose: Improve\/expand existing child care facilities after the impact of COVID-19.
Eligibility: Licensed child care programs are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Community INNOVATION Grant:<\/strong>
Grant Awards $100,000 – $2,000,000<\/em>
Purpose: Support existing or new community projects to meet a community\u2019s unique child care needs.
Eligibility: Community partnerships are encouraged to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
