LEVEL 1: LEARNING ABOUT HIGHER QUALITY

Administration & Leadership

  • Biennial Licensed Child Care (State or Municipality of Anchorage)
  • Completed and signed Continuous Quality Improvement Plan (CQIP)

Staff Qualifications & Professional Development

  • Learn & Grow Orientation (administrator/ person(s) indicated on license)
  • SEED Registry: All staff enrolled in SEED

LEVEL 2: MOVING INTO HIGHER QUALITY

Administration & Leadership

  • Licensed Family Child Care Administrator (person(s) indicated on license): SEED Level 5
  • Program Philosophy Statement

Staff Qualifications & Professional Development

  • Level 2: Moving Into Higher Quality Training (Pyramid Model Foundations; Strengthening Families, Introduction to the Environment Rating Scales, Introduction to AK Core Knowledge & Competencies)

Learning Environment, Adult-Child Interactions & Child Outcomes

  • Classroom Environment Assessment: Environmental Rating Scale (FCERS) 2.5 minimum overall score

To receive Level 2 recognition, programs must continue to meet Level 1 Quality Standards.
