Licensed Group Home Levels of Quality

LEVEL 1: LEARNING ABOUT HIGHER QUALITY

Administration & Leadership

  • Biennial Licensed Child Care (State or Municipality of Anchorage)
  • Completed and signed Continuous Quality Improvement Plan (CQIP)

Staff Qualifications & Professional Development

  • All staff have completed Learn & Grow Level 1 Training
  • Leadership and all teaching staff who provide direct care and supervision of children are enrolled in the Alaska SEED Registry
 

LEVEL 2: MOVING INTO HIGHER QUALITY

Administration & Leadership

  • Administrator is at least a SEED Level 6 and has a current Alaska SEED Registry profile
  • Administrator has completed the Alaska Early Childhood Administrator Credential (AK-ECAC)

Staff Qualifications & Professional Development

  • 100% of teachers have completed Level 2: Moving Into Higher Quality Trainings (Pyramid Model Foundations, Strengthening Families, Introduction to Environment Rating Scale Part I, II, and III, and Introduction to Alaska Early Childhood Core Knowledge and Competencies) 

Learning Environment, Adult-Child Interactions & Child Outcomes

  • Environment Rating Scale (ERS) FCCERS score of 2.5 in each classroom assessed
 

LEVELS 3, 4 & 5: COMMITTING, GROWING & THRIVING INTO HIGHER QUALITY

There are four quality standards in Learn & Grow recognition Levels 3, 4, and 5. Each level has progressive standards in the following areas:
